I, as an average student, write essays in class, assignments, homework, things like that. As a teenager; I like to text message, instant message, email, blog, etc. Though as myself, I really like to write lists, varying from things I need to do that day, things I THINK I might forget, questions I wanted to ask someone, etc. I usually write one of these lists once a day, it’s just a thing I do. It makes me feel as though I haven’t forgotten anything to do that day. And also, it’s always great to check something off and know I accomplished one more thing in my life successfully. When I’m writing text messages, emails, and such, I pretty much just say what I would have said to whomever I’m writing to as if they were with me. And I think about it that way as I write them. Writing is hard for me when it’s something I have to write for school, because it feels as though I have no choice to write it. It’s harder to enjoy doing it and put all of myself into the writing. Writing’s easier when I’m writing about things I know well or when I’m writing about things I know well or when it’s very similar (or exactly) what I would have said to a friend. It’s especially fun when, of course, I receive other people’s writing back, responding to mine, take text messaging, instant messaging, and emailing for example. That’s my writing.

I think to be a writer it means you just write when you want to express your emotion. It doesn't matter how much or what you write about. Anyone can be writer just as long as write. I guess I am writer in certain ways. I mainly just write for school, like essays and stories. Whatever I'm required to write I will. Outside of school the only time I write is over texting and e-mail. Otherwise I'm not a huge fan of writing when I don't have too. I like to write silly poems that have absolutely no meaning. I write poems because I'm bored or a poem just comes to mind. A process i use when i write is reading it over and over switching words with other words. Writing is hard when you have to rewrite the same piece a zillion different times. It is easy when you finish your piece and have all the thoughts on a page. Writing is really fun if I am hyper and when the ideas just come to me. So, that's the kind of writer I am!

Well, I like to write all sorts of things, but mostly, I like to write reviews. For some reason, I love to write my opinions on things like movies, books, music, anything. I like when people reply to my thoughts too. I want to see what other people think as well. I want to have more than one point of view. I also like writing stories, but only sometimes. If I have a really good idea for a story, I usually at least write it down on Notepad to make sure I can't forget it. I write these kinds of things because they are some of my interests. I like to hear stories, not necessarily entire books, but just stories, like movie plots! I only really like to type my things. I rarely write it down on paper. I just type it and get it over with. Writing only gets really hard when it gets forced. If you go too fast or if you're required to do the piece, you'll fail and get stuck. It gets easier when you get a great idea and it just flows through, while making sense.

Whoa I write a ton. Things I am used to writing in class are essays, assignments, homework, book etc. Things I write as a teenager are texting and more of myspace. The way I write is thinking of ideas. Without that I don't do as good as I'm expected. I'm also a slow writer. Writing isn't my pleasure but some of the time I enjoy it. Sometimes it can be fun if it's something you like to write about. But when I think of ideas of what to write about I do a lot better. Writing gets hard when you can't think of what to write. It can take me hours to write an essay when I can't think of what to write. Writing gets to be more easy if you are a good writer or when you write what you love to write. For me I like to write about sports thats when the fun begins. Writing gets fun its when the teacher lets you write about your heroes, your life, your day, things you want to write. Thats when I enjoy writing.

My writing is very important to me because I t is a way on not only educating the other people that I admire, but it is mostly a way to express myself in a way that makes since to others. These assignments are different, but at the same time a new and interesting way of writing my ideas.
When I sit down to right something I usually write something, I write about a lot of styles that are mostly just nonfiction. I just like to write about stuff that I true.
I write nonfiction because the stories in my head that are fiction are extremely heard for other people, and sometimes my self. They all make sense in my head, but written they don’t
I often write on my computer with some quiet music on. It helps me focus on the topic that I am writing about. My computer is my most used style of work ethics.
When I write I like to get comfy at my computer and just go without any interruptions. It helps my ideas flow.
Writing is hard when I have to rite fiction because, as I said, I am not all that great at that area.
Writing is easiest, when I have a good understanding of what I am writing about, when the topic is nonfiction.
Writing is fun when I have a topic that is just sow well known by myself that I can just write for hours and never get all my ideas down. That is the best part of writing I think.

Mainly the kind of writing I do is just essays and homework and other school things. I also like to write about my feelings and how I'm feeling usually just to vent. Other then that, I usually don't like to write besides texting and e-mail. If i have to write or feel like I have a lot of flowing ideas for a piece i just can't stop writing though. I wouldn't say that I hate writing its just not my hobby. I think a writer could be anyone because even if you think your not a good writer you really do writing every day, but some people enjoy writing and make it their hobby but others choose not to. When i write the proccess I use is a lot of revision. I almost always re-read my writing 3-4 times until I feel its perfect. Writing is hard When the subject is boring or you can't think of anything to write. Writing is easy when your thoughts just keep flowing and you have a lot of ideas to write about. It is fun when its about something you like. thats how I feel about writing.
What do I write? I write basic stuff, what I mean by that is that I don’t write in my house, I only write of homework, and school work. In my house I don’t write so often, what I only write is emails, text messaging, notes etc. And I have been trying to write songs and poems they don’t event make sense but I do it because phrases come to my head and when I don’t have any thing to do. And why I write all that is because the homework and school work I required in school and what I write on my home I do it because I get bored, I do it to send or give a message and because I needed to write notes to remember stuff ant text messaging to communicate. And because when we write something we write what we say or what we think. The way I write is probably by steps because first I think of it then I write it and then I revise and fix what I don’t like. Writing is hard when I don’t want to write, or I don’t know what to write and when I have to work on it for long time. Mostly the things that i write are emails, texts, and assignments for school. Also to stay organinzed I write stuff down sometimes. The reasons that i write the things that i do are all different reasons. I write the assignments for school to keep good grades and learn. I write emails and texts to talk to people and entertain myself. The other things i write i do for organization.How i write is by focusing on what i am writing and listening to music. The process i use when writing is planning, rough draft, editing, final copy, and typing. Writing is hard for me when it's on a subject i don't know about or for school. Hey!! This is Mandi Newell just saying that I totaly agree with justine Weigand. To be writer, all you have to do is write. It doesn't matter what you write, or how good it is, just as long as you're writing.
I mostly only write in school for grade purposes, but once in a while I feel the need to write outside of school, and not meaning txting or e-mailing. When I was in 4th grade I wrote a story that was around 4 pages long and it was an amazing store, if I don't say so myself. I showed it to my parents, friends and my 4th grade teacher. They all loved it and it felt great to say "I did that!".
However, don't get me wrong, I LOVE TEXTING AND E-MAILING TO MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY. I think I would die without it. It's a part of me and it helps comunicate with those that are very far away from me.
The kind of writing/stories I like are the kind that have adventure in it, heartbeating moments, and happy endings. Right now I'm reading a series called twilight by Stephanie Meyers, and they're the perfect boooks for me!! They inspire me to read more and write more.
Writing is fun when you know what to write, and have an idea in your head. Writing is hard when your brain can't think of anything to write.
All in all, writing is always with you and can be really fun if you want it to be.
To be a writer you don't have to make beautiful papers that everyone wants to read. You just have to be able to write what you feel and no one else ever has to see it. As for essays, homework, and papers for school, that's my challenge. I agree with you Justine because when we are asked to write we do. But as just for being a normal teenager texting, im, email, and such is pretty much our choice writing. For me i admit i enjoy those things but i also like to write stories and poems and get my thoughts and emotions out on paper. I feel like as i'm reading these other comments that all of us feel the same way about writing. We write what we must for school but we enjoy the other kind that makes us happy. And frankly, i'm okay with that.
In school I usually only write for classes such as essays, assignments, or for tests. Out of school I usually only write text messages, emails, or lists for things I might forget. If I am in the mood i do ocassionally write peotry but only if I have nothing else to do. When I write essays I usually make a web or a list of topics I might want to talk about. For assignments like this I think about the question or questions and answer them. For me writing is usually hard if I am not interested in the topic or if its really long. Writing is easy and fun for me when the topic interests me, if it a small writing assignment, or if I get to type it. I am a much better writer when I am interested in the general topic. I am also a better writer when I am able to type because typing is faster and easier for me.

I write lots of things. Mostly for school, though. Essays, Assignments, homework, stuff like that. Pretty much the only things I write outside of school is emails, texts, and sometimes a list or something. For school assignments, I Wright that stuff because, well, I have to, and the stuff I write outside of school I write because I like talking to friends by email or text, and sometimes I will write a to-do list or a grocery list that way I don’t forget anything for the Day. When I write, I like to listen to music (like nikki rose), have the t.v. on, or be in the kitchen with My Family. I like to have some sort of background sound. For some people that can be distracting, but for me, its really hard to sit and just write in total silence. I tend to get really bored and cant focus when it is quiet. Before I start writing, I like to have some sort of a plan, like a web or a rough draft or something. That way, I can get out whatever I want on paper, but then still go back and fix any mistakes I made or something. For Me, Writing is hard when it is on a topic that I think is boring, I don't like, or don't understand. My writing outside of school is most of the time easy, because in an email or text, well that’s just like talking. I can say whatever I want, I can spell the words I use however I want, and I can tell the person Im emailing or texting (or whatever it is that Im doing) whatever I want to talk about.Im way better at writing when it is easy. When I have to write about a topic that I don’t like, I have no idea what to say, and it makes it even harder when Im thinking about how I have to write like a 3 page essay on it or something. If I get to write about whatever I want, It makes it way more fun for Me, plus My writing sounds better, because I WANTED To write about it. I definitely like to also hear from other people about what they thought about My writing, that way I can improve or something, plus, if what I wrote was good, and when I hear people say it is good, I feel more confident about writing the next time. So that is what I think of writing.

I think it means that you take some time out of your day to write if you consider yourself as a writer. This means you stop and sit down and write. It doesn’t have to be forever, but a few minutes are sufficient. I consider anybody who can write to be a writer. If you write, you’re a writer. So, I consider myself a writer as well. I write everyday now that we are back in school. I write notes, essays, answers to questions, math problems, emails, and blogs like I am right now. I write the things that I do so I can get good grades, so I can remember things, to talk with people, and to acquire information. When I write, I usually write the first thing that pops into my brain. When I read it again I find mistakes and awkward sentences. Then I fix them. I find writing to be hard when the topics you have to use are just terrible. Writing is fun when I am not writing for school. It can be fun at school if I like what I am writing about, but that is the only exception. Writing is easy when it is fun.

I write because I have to most of the time. Writing isn't enjoyable to me. If I were enjoying writing I'm usually texting someone or replieing to someone on Myspace. I don't find myself to be a writer because it isn't an enjoyable thing to do for me. This is even hard to write because it's boring me to death to sit here and think of words to type on this keyboard. But when I have to write i always do the planning the same way. I always use a planning page called a four square of just wing it because I'm to lazy to draw and write in the little boxs. To me writing is the hardest and most boring thing to do when I hate the prompt of subject I have to wirte about.Writing is easy when I can get the project or whatever I'm writing done fast and painless. I (and i am Jordan Bargas by the way) write mainly for school purposes and i write texts and stuf like that but i dont really email like some people. (but my phone has a QWERTY keyboard so thats better than some phones right? Haha) i sometimes when i am bored write like little poems or songs or little goofy short stories and all that fun stuff. But mostly just for school, even though i like writin really for my self or by myself. I think the easiest and funnest way to write for me is when i am not getting graded on my ideas and organization or maybe just on my punctuation is fine but i love it when i have absolutely every choice about everything and/or the topic is fun and i still have a little choice about it. based on this deffinition of a writer, I think everyone is a writer. your a writer if you write books, speeches, music, to-do lists, poems or slogans. being a writer is a very comman label.
i write text messages, instant messages, poems, lists, notes, reports, essays, lab write ups. I write text messages and ims to converse with my friends and family. I write notes and lists to remind my self what i need to do. I write reports, essays and lab write ups for school. Out side of school i am not this kind of writer.
The process i use when i write is very simple. I jot down any thoughts i have for my paper randomly on my paper. Second, i put them in an outline format. from there i creat a rough draft. I edit and revise my draft from there. Last, compose my final piece.
writing is hard for me when i am to write about topics i can not connect with. writing is easy for me when i can relate to the given subject. Writing is fun for me when i connect with the subject i am writing about and i get in a flow. Sometime i can really enjoy writing.

How i write is by making lists or organizers then once I have a good idea I will go from there. Writing is hard when you really hate to write or when you have to write something that you know nothing about or about something you dont like. Writing is easy when you can write something that you know alot about or something that you really like. Writing is fun when again, you really like the topic you are writing about or you know alot about it. This is the kind of writer I am.

I am a really occward writer that has a hard time writing starting essays and finishing them also i think a writer is someone likes to write stuff like stories or likes to record history and what it means to be a writer is to want to actually want to write i believe that if you don't you aren't an actual writer.
Usually i write what i have to in school and not very much outside of school. I write average things i am not a great writer but not a bad writer. writing usually comes pretty easy to me and i don't have very much trouble with doing it. writing is hard when i have to write about something that isn't very interesting and i have to write a lot about it. writing comes easy to me when i write about things that i am interested in and stories about my life. writing comes fun for me when i get to write about a good story in my life that i enjoyed doing.

Well let’s see I would have to think about it. When I think of it, I don’t particularly like it that much. I mean it is not hard for me to write but I don’t really like it, to me it’s boring and easy. If I must write I will do it. If I consider writing for something other than school work I would write music and then play what I write on my guitar. Other than that I wouldn’t write. So I think I would like to be a music writer and now I don’t think I dislike writing at all. I’m just being lazy about writing. So the hardest part is getting started. Once you get passed the start and know what you care to write about the rest just starts flowing off the paper. Music and writing just go together for me. They are both easy to write and flow well on the page. I’ve tried to write other things like fiction stories and term report papers. I don’t like them because they don’t interest me. I enjoy writing music because I relate to songs and what I write can bring music to life. I have also liked writing comics, I can be funny and get to add drawings to the stories I think about. I prefer to write about things that I have an interest in rather than a topic handed to me that I don’t care about. When I write music or even a comic I like to write about things that happen in everyday life. If I have things that are bothering me I can write about them in a song and play it on my guitar, or I can make it into a funny comic strip and get a good laugh from it!

I dont rally write much but when i do write i write essays and message y friends on myspace or e-mail them. i onlywrite essays for schools but i write to my friends to keep up with my friends from my old school adn friends that i havnt talked to in a whil. as a student i dont write varry much but when i do i like it sometimes but only in school not any whare else and we as students have to write in school
I never really considered myself a writer i write what i have to so i can get good grades in school. Other than school i don't write much i text my friends once in a while and sign Christmas cards for relatives and sometimes add comments on them too, but not much more than than that. I prefer to type because my hand writing is sloppy and i cant spell long words very well.
When i am writing essays my writing varies depending on the topic is i can relate to the topic or i like the topic i usually get a good grade. On the other hand if i don't like the topic or i don't understand it i don't do that well.
that is why i don't really consider myself a writer
I write essays, I do my home work all that other stuff. But as a teenager I like to go on myspace, text, i.m, things like that I just don’t like writing huge, long essays. I wouldn’t really call myself a writer because I just don’t have a very imaginative mind like a lot of other kids I don’t like to write. The only kind of writing I like to do is texting it’s still writing just not in correct form. So that’s what kind of writer I am. My favorite is texting my friends. People can write books! That’s crazy; I would go crazy just trying to write a story.
What kind of writer am I?
I’m a writer that doesn’t write stuff big and long but I write small and short. I don’t write pages but I write paragraphs. I write for school even though I don’t want to. My spelling is bad. If I try to spell a word It is more and likely wrong. I learn by reading books because when I read I pay attention to the words. The more I see them the more I study how there spelled. I like to read but I don’t like to write it’s better for me to look up at someone else’s writing and study it.
I’m not good with notes it is hard for me to look at the notes and look back at my paper and repeat the process. I don’t write that much unless I’m online talking to my friends on messenger. I don’t write unless I’m told too but if I am really bored I’ll write just nonsense.
I write slowly because it helps my writing if I write fast it makes my writing not legible. I use typing when I’m writing because I’m faster typing than writing and I can always read it. Writing is hard when I have a time limit because I fell rush and I right faster but worse it’s better not for me to know the time limit. Writing is fun when I talk to friends over the internet because it’s like having a conversation in real life but over the computer and also they correct me if my spelling is wrong which helps me with spelling.
I like to write to friends with e-mails it helps me I write good when I type I would write letters but my hand writing is hardly legible plus that cost money. But ether way I’m writing even when I don’t want to I’m still writing in my head. So pretty much I like to write.
I think that I'm a writer because I love to write stuff down even if I get bored sometimes! To express my feelings i write in a journal, it calms me down when I get mad at something.
I don't like to do a lot of notes because I think its to much work. We should not copy everythin on the board that yuo write down.
I think that writing helps us a lot in life. Writing is everywhere, like txting, movies, just even on signs. Writing express yuor feelings inside of you! So, lets get writing!

I think writing is fun when you give us something fun to write about. I dislike it when we have to write about boring stuff that doesn't seem to make much sense to me. I like writing about fun and exciting stuff. I like to write about things that i want in my life and how to be succesful, or i like to write about silly things!
To be a writer is to write anything. It's just an author except maybe your writing isn't as intense. You could write books or texts. Also you could write e-mails or blogs. You could write a list so you don't forget something. Writing to me is everywhere. You could not get by in life if you didn't know how to write. Writing is also a big part of reading. In order to write you need to know how to read. I mainly write in school i personally do not like writing so i write at school my assignments and homework, but i do text, blog, myspace and other things. I don't know if i answered all the questions but i didn't have that much time to do this.

To be a writer is to be an author. Anything that has words is writing. Texting, blogging, lists, poems, journals, diaries, menus, myspacing, homework etc... Everything you write down/type is a different type of writing. you may not have to publish it for you to be and author, but technically you are an author. I mainly write in school only becuase i personally don't like writing. It's not my "thing". The thing i mainly do out of school that is writing is homework, texting, blogging and myspace. I didn't have much time to do this, but i tried.

As a writer i like to wright in my journal. I write down things such as the days events, goals and plans that i have set, and things that allow me to express my feelings with out haveing to tell a soul. I wright the things i do to let out anger and to make me feel like i can go into detail with out boreing people to death. I dont nessassarily have a process when i write i just put the pen to the paper and write. Writing tends to seem more difficalt for me when the subject is something i dont exactly like, or am not very familar with. Writing is easiest and most fun when it is a topic that i know very well and enjoy talking about. I like to put a lot of voice into the things i write. I am almost always the narrator.
If you ever want to talk to an extremly good writing teacher her name is Mrs. Kimbell at fremont elementary. She teaches 5th grade and specializes in writing. She has all the most crative ways to teach writing. I deffinatly reccomend talking to her about her theorys and how effective her writing skills are. It is deffinatly worth it! I ♥ you Mrs. Kimbell!

I have trouble staying on task and i do stuff last minute cause i do better
I, write all sorts of things. I love to write short stories that I can turn into comic books and I don't really mind doing school writing as long as its a topic I'm interested in. I write comic books because I want to become a graphic novelist and I love doing it, its fun! I'm an expresive writer, I write about how I feel about the subject I'm writing about. When writing I tend to try to get it all done on one copy. I write, then revise on the same copy. Usually writing comes natural to me but sometimes I hit a hard spot in a story or whatever I'm writing. Writing is never really easy but it has some easy elements.
Finnally, yes I think writing is fun if I like what I'm writing.
i think to be a writer you write when you fell there is some thing to write about . or when you want to express your fellings in a diffrent way. to me it doesnt matter what you write ,when you writ, or what you writye about . your writing coul be a very short wrten writing or the complete oppisite.writreiing can be hard when you are given something to write about. but when you want to write some thinig it just kinda flus.writing is alot of funn once you get in to it but if you just say you hate it it wont be fun so you should try it and make it funn.
In class, I am not a very strong writer. I also am not a very strong writer outside of class, but when I do write, I generaly write essays or short stories. I also sometimes write lists and notes of things that are very important to remember. I have a decent immagination when I write and I tend to write my own mysteries. (This is Johnny Conrad)
